The two cities of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim are just ten and fifteen minutes away respectively by car. Also only ten minutes away by car is Speyer, where you can visit the cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Palatinate Forest, the largest continuous expanse of forest in Germany, offers you peace and quiet, recreation, numerous castles and hiking opportunities. A drive of less than 20 minutes will take you to the foothills of the Haardt.
